Wire Rope Hoist Load Limiter

These load limit switches can be installed onto a hoist at the rope's dead end or equalizer sheave. It can be designed for other installations with a power reel or remote control. You'll find these limit switches to be extremely easy to install - you simply clamp them onto the wire rope without having to cut the rope or make modifications to the hoist.

The load limit switch is activated from the deflection of the rope when the hook lifts the load. This increases the tension of the rope, which activates the limit device. The device can be electrically connected with the hoist's switch for either up or down motion, depending on the motion to be controlled. As well, it can work as both an upper limit switch and load limit switch as a special order.

Model RB
All Load Limit Switches provide alarm via the Tension Plate Activated Switch. All models are available in a slack wire rope. A regular limit switch is with a single pole, but on request you can add a double pole (2 speeds) for special applications.
